Key Imperial Bib Overalls – What Are The Utility Features Of The Bib?

Many people mistakenly view the “bib” on a pair of Key Imperial Bib Overalls as simply a way to protect the shirt from dirt and wear & tear.  Although the bib does provide this protection, it offers the wearer much more!

If one takes a good look at the bib itself, you will see a variety of features that add great utility to the garment and are appreciated by the wearer:

The “Watch” Fob

If you carry a pocket watch and have a safety strap or chain attached to the watch — this is where you would attach the chain to the bib. Other items with a strap, chain or secure clip may be attached here.

Just below the snap on one of the bib pockets is a vertical opening into a pocket.  This is the pocket where you would store your watch or other item.

A lot of people use this pocket for a small tape measure, standard ball point pen, small calibration tool or screwdriver, and even pieces of hard candy! Continue reading

KEY Hickory Stripe Logger Shirts – Custom Designed Plus+Sizing for Loggers

Key Logger Shirts are custom designed with input from actual loggers from across the USA!  Logging is a tough profession and loggers need shirts that are rugged enough to take the abuse, yet provide comfort.

So….what are some of the custom features of Key Logger Shirts? Well first, the sizing!

Key Logger Shirts are Plus-Sized in the neck and shoulders to accommodate the muscular upper body build that loggers develop while climbing, wielding a chainsaw, using a canthook, or just plain getting physical with timber!  Plus-sizing translates to a half-size larger than regular sizing in each category: Small (14-1/2 – 15), Medium (15-1/2 – 16), Large (16-1/2 – 17), XL (17-1/2 – 18), 2XL (18-1/2 – 19), 3XL (19-1/2 – 20), 4XL (20-1/2 – 21). So, if you are a first time user of the Key Logger Shirt, we suggest you purchase one shirt to determine the size that fits you best, and then order order more when you are sure of your sizing. Key logger Shirts are available in Regular or Tall lengths.

Other quality features include:

Shrinkage and Choosing Your Waist Size for Key Garments

Key 100% cotton garments are constructed to shrink into the stated size on the garment label after repeated laundering.

This means if you are a 36″ waist, you order a 36″ waist garment.  If you are a 46″ waist, you order a 46″ waist garment, and if you are a 60 inch waist, you order a 60″ waist garment. No need to order a larger waist size to accommodate for shrinkage, as you might with other brands of work wear, because Key has engineered the “guess work” out of waist sizing. Continue reading

Protect Your Key Bib Overall Hardware During Laundering

Rarely during the laundering process a piece of bib overall hardware might be broken. Most susceptible are the two metal Wire Loops at the end of the suspender straps that hook to the buttons on the bib. Damage can occur when the suspender straps are not secured and the Wire Loops continually strike the metal drums inside the washer or dryer.

To prolong the life of your bib overall hardware and the functionality of your Key Garment, we suggest a variety of easy techniques to protect your hardware:

  • Simply hook the Wire Loop onto the Button on the bib top as you do when you wear your Key bib Overalls. This does keep the Wire Loops in place, but does not protect them from striking the metal portions of the washer or dryer. If the hardware comes apart in the washer, re-secure before placing in the dryer. Continue reading
